Sylvie is originally from Paris, where she specialized in biology. She then became a scientist at Paris 6 University where she taught neurosciences, electrophysiology and cellular biology for 15 years. She moved to New York in 2007 and continued her research work in genetics at the Skirball Institute at NYU. Her interest for teaching and her passion for sciences led her to the Lycée Français de New York in 2010 where she really enjoys teaching younger students and seeing them become excited about the world of science.
