Being on an athletic team here at the Lycée Français de New York you experience a number of ups and downs. There are good days and bad days. It is how you pick yourself up and meet the next challenge that defines you.
One of the enjoyable parts of my job is to go and watch our students represent the Lycée in athletic events. The pride they show cheering on each other is remarkable, and it is what teamwork is all about.
I was at the NYCAL Varsity Track Championships on Tuesday, May 14th, and it was great to see how each team member cheered on one another. It did not matter if the runner was in first or last place they stood and cheered. It was great to see. It made me proud to be a member of the athletic department at the Lycée.
