Friday: Friday was Medieval day! All the Pre-K students were dressed up in their fairy tale costumes for the parade and sang songs. See more photos and videos on the Maternelle blog.
Thursday: Students from CE2 to Terminale participated in the Concours Kangourou, a world-wide test in maths taken by students in France but also in French schools abroad. Could you answer some of the questions from the test taken by CE2, CM1 and CM2 students?
Wednesday: On Wednesday, French Minister of the Families, Women Rights and Childhood Laurence Rossignol explained to our tenth graders her role in the French government. Ms. Rossignol was in New York attending a special session on Women’s Rights at the UN.
Wednesday: For many weeks, Y12 students were trained on first aid with the LFNY Athletic Trainer Angelo Annunziato. The students then prepared presentations to explain their knowledge to Y6 students around three specific themes: EPIPEN, Controlling Bleeding and Seizures.
Tuesday: On Tuesday night, singer Emel Mathlouthi gave a wonderful concert in the auditorium of the Lycée. Her upbeat and modern music, inspired by her Tunisian roots, made us want to dance and gave our students a good taste of World Music.
Monday: During the Forum des métiers, Ruben Cohen, doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, explained his profession to Y10 and Y11 students and answered their questions. It was a great way for the students to get ideas for their university and career choices.
Monday: This week was Maths Week because of Pi Day and the Concours Kangourou. To celebrate 3.14 (aka Pi Day), the 6ème2 baked pies for their math class.
