Friday: It’s time to spread the love! As Valentine’s Day is approaching, students celebrated “GLoWmance” (Gay, Lesbian or Whatever) and the legalization of gay marriage with rainbow lollipops.
Thursday: This week’s Artist in Residence, Jon Burgerman, worked with fifth graders around water and climate change and painted a mural on the walls on the fifth floor.
Wednesday: Y9-Y12 students participated in the Shakespeare competition that celebrates the Bard and theater. The winner of the LFNY competition will go on to compete in the city-wide semi finals.
Tuesday: Terrence Kennedy, director of facilities, discusses with Joseph O’Donohue, manager of the construction company Kel-Mar, about the scissor staircase now running from the first to the seventh floor of the York Wing set to open in September.

Monday: In honor of Black History Month, our Y6-Y9 students attended performances of “MLK- The King Years from 7 to 37.” The performance was followed by a Q/A session with the actors.
