Friday: It’s wrap-up time in this kindergarden class. Guided by their teacher, three to four students take turn on the seat in front of the class and lead them with simple movements like clapping their hands or tapping their feet on the floor. “It is a signal for the students to come on the colored mat and it helps them focus” says Blandine Du Sordet, French teacher.
Thursday: Philippe de Montebello, LFNY alum (’58) and former director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 1977 to 2008 answers a question from an 11th grader about art repatriation.

Tuesday: Head of School Sean Lynch presents the new strategic plan of the LFNY “Our Vision: Aujourd’hui et Demain” to the parent community. It includes details about the extension of the school on York Avenue slated to open in september 2016.
Tuesday: The newly-formed 6th grade boy basketball team and coach Robert de la Chapelle watch as some of its player are on the court against St Hilda’s and Hugh’s school. Our team lost to the honorable score of 13-21.
