Monday: Upcoming Lycée’s artist-in-residence Kate Lydon works with the students of the American Ballet Theatre.
Tuesday: The Varsity Girls team wins the swim meet against Friends Seminary and the Birch Wathen Lenox School.
Tuesday: The choice among the very talented contestants was hard during the annual Shakespeare competition.
Wednesday: As part of a Community Service project, the class of 2nde 2 went to preschool Little Tots Red Wagon, the Lycée’s partner school since Hurricane Sandy.
Thursday: Gala auction committee members discuss items to put in the auction for the Lycée’s annual gala on March 16. This year’s theme is #LFNY – Advancing Minds into a Digital Future.
Thursday: Students track their grade’s progress towards 100% in the first week of POP challenge.
Friday: A real wolf from the Wolf Conservation Center in upstate New York visited first graders at the Lycée as part of an education project on the species.
Tuesday: Three 7th-grade students in “IDD” (Itinéraires de Découverte) performed on the theme “Freedom from Want.” They chose the characters of Asterix and Leon Blum for their presentation.
Wednesday: A few lucky students watch a demonstration of bread-making at Kayser Bakery on the Upper East Side, as part of a science class learning about yeast.
Thursday: Theater Director Alexandre Oppecini is working with LFNY students competing in the French Theater Festival – Festival Première Scène at the LFNY on February 1 and 2.
