Roundtable: Why We Should Develop our Creative Minds

 

The Lycée was host to a roundtable on Thursday, January 31st entitled « Why We Should Develop our Creative Minds?». After exploring the future of the press with Arthur Sulzberger, this next Global Citizenship Conference focuses on creativity for all ages. Participants to this round table are all citizens of a global world and, as such, examples for our students and sources of inspiration for all others. (Conference starts at 0:25 seconds)

In this video, the head of school Sean Lynch, who moderated this event, talks with Director of Communications Elisabeth King about the connection between schools and creativity.

French artist Amelie Chabannes chose to settle down in Brooklyn where she makes a living with her art exploring the concept of identity. Identity is composed of many archeological layers and edges blur in a couple.

 

 

Francis Cholle, writer and consultant, advises entrepreneurs and tell them to use their intuitive intelligence to become more creative.

 

 

For many years, Claude Grunitzky has been scouting for creative trends in the world, that he will restitute in an innovating way whether through his magazine Trace or his think tank, True.

 

 

Last but not least, Reed Krakoff, who inhabits the worlds of fashion and marketing, has used creativity to turn such companies as Coach or Reed Krakoff into very successful stories. Michelle Obama has paid lip service to this creativity wearing a dress and a sweater signed by the fashion director during the inauguration ceremony.

The debate is moderated by the director of the school Sean Lynch who, as we know, has placed creativity at the center of his pedagogical approach leaving to the children and those who accompany them the freedom to speak out, encouraging them to develop both their brains.
