Brigitte NaHon, a former Art teacher at the LFNY and renowned artist will be our third artist in residence at the Lycee in April for the Sixth graders. She is exhibiting at the FIAF (22 East 60th street) until January 12 and at the Stephan Stoyanov Gallery (29 Orchard street) we do encourage you to go and check her beautiful work with your kids. Dr. Arthur Plaza, Head of History Department together with Art teacher Tim Riordan went to see Brigitte’s show. Of it he wrote: “Brigitte NaHoN’s work merges materials like steel and crystal seamlessly giving the effect of postmodern harmony. She captivates the viewer’s regard by using mirrors and glass that produce auto-portraits when one draws near. Her exhibition bears the hallmarks of a brilliant artist capable of changing our perspective on the outside world while simultaneously compelling us to reconsider how that regard reflects our internal beliefs.”
