An impressive 209 students and 20 coaches came to Camp Pontiac this year. That includes all our fall teams: Cross Country, Gymnastics, Rugby, Soccer and Volleyball. Please watch the following video to learn more about the camp experience.
At Pontiac, teams were able to practice at night under artificial lights and also to take part in our annual talent show. When teams were not at practice, students were able to go swimming or to spend time together at the game room and canteen. The canteen was definitely the place to be if students wanted to work on their singing. Each night saw many students singing along with their favorite songs.
On the last full day of camp, the varsity boys soccer team took on the coaches in a game. The teachers scored first, but the varsity answered back quickly. The varsity team was able to seal their win with a late goal. On the last day, the varsity girls soccer team won the soccer camp tournament. This year too, we are pleased to announce that there were more than twice as many rugby participants as last year. Middle School boys soccer was also particularly popular. All in all, we had a great week at Camp Pontiac!
