Volleyball

The Varsity Girls Team gained new ground and has much to celebrate.  With a record of 7 – 3, they made the playoffs for their league for the first time! They lost in the first round, but it was still a great season. Our JV Girls Team had an undefeated season. They went 8 – 0 and won the ISAL regular season and tournament championship in an exciting final match against York Prep.  Super!

Our Middle School Team kept the winning record going, finishing undefeated in their regular season. Their final record was 10 – 0.

Soccer

Excitement for the Varsity Girls Team is certainly building. They finished the fall season with a record of 5 – 4 – 1 – the most wins in several years – and showing great improvement all season.

Our budding players on the Middle School Girls Team had a very strong season. Their final record was 5 – 1 with impressive wins over Marymount and Friends Seminary.

The Boys Program had another strong season. Varsity Boys went undefeated in league play and once again won the regular season and league tournament. They qualified for NYSAIS when they lost a tough game to Columbia. Our final record was 13 – 1 – 1. Not to be out done the, the JV team (13-0-1) also won their regular season and tournament championship. They played a great final game against Trevor Day to win their league tournament.

In Middle School, the Lycée’s 7th-8th grade team won the ISAL regular season with a 6 – 1 record, but were not able to complete their schedule because of the hurricane. Finally out 6th-grade Boys Team showed great improvement over the season.

Rugby

Our Middle School Rugby Team won two games and tied the third. The team of 19 athletes, aged 10 to 12, progressed much over the season. They learned how to tackle and to maul, and they improved their placement on the field. The game against Manhattan Club was particularly fun and memorable.

Our Elementary Rugby Team continues its winning streak and remains undefeated since last year!  LFNY can be proud of these young, brave and talented 12 players, who displayed a lot of French flair on the field. Their regular opponents didn’t have a chance! On top of the Cup Trophy, the team received the award for the “Best Rugby Spirit.”

Congratulations to all and thank you for the support of the parents on and off the field!
